Questions and answers
Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
Isn't a drone pilot a hypocrite?
No. Brent flies in the wilderness on motorbike trips, never around people, precisely because Brent knows how annoying a drone overhead can be.
This campaign is about commercial delivery drones flying regular routes over homes.
Aren't you blocking medicine?
We support genuine emergency and medical drones under their own rules. Amazon's drone is for toothpaste and phone chargers.
Aren't they quieter than a lawnmower?
You mow once a fortnight. In Richardson, Texas, residents report a delivery drone every 3 to 5 minutes.
What about jobs and innovation?
Drivers, not drones. Ground delivery is the alternative we support.
Are you anti-Amazon?
No. Brent is a Prime member and staying one. Ground delivery is the alternative we support.
Isn't this inevitable?
No. Wing, the only company running drone deliveries at scale in Australia, ended its Australian delivery service in January 2026 to focus on the US.
Who's behind this?
Brent Pearson, alone and self-funded. No company, political party or competitor is behind it.
What happens to my signature?
When we present the petition to councils and MPs, we may share the number of signatures and signers' names with their suburbs or postcodes.
Your email is never shared or published. Names are never shown publicly on this site.
Who approves delivery drones?
Several bodies, each for a different piece. CASA approves the operator and flights beyond the pilot's line of sight, with no public comment step. The federal Department of Infrastructure handles drone noise approvals. Airservices Australia manages the airspace.
Your local council controls development approval for a launch site or hub. That's where residents can still have a say.
How do I complain about delivery drone noise?
Email the federal Department of Infrastructure at dronenoise@infrastructure.gov.au.
Complaints can lead to conditions on the hours, frequency or type of drone, or to an approval being revoked.
